1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure.
2. Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account unless we expressly allow otherwise. You may not share login credentials or impersonate another person.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate our Community Guidelines or Safety Guidelines;
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or exploit other users;
- Post illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content;
- Use Penzio for commercial solicitation, scams, or fraud;
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems;
- Circumvent safety features or create deceptive profiles.
4. Content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Penzio a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process your content solely to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have rights to photos and text you upload.
5. Matching and messaging
We do not guarantee matches, responses, or relationship outcomes. Penzio is a platform; interactions with other users are at your own discretion and risk, including offline meetings.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Premium features may require payment in Kenyan shillings or other supported currencies via approved payment methods. Prices and features are shown at purchase. Renewals, cancellations, and refunds are described in the Refund Policy and in-app checkout terms.
7. Moderation and termination
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to users or Penzio. You may delete your account at any time subject to our Account Deletion process.
8. Disclaimers
Penzio is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law and other applicable law, Penzio and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for conduct of users on or off the platform. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid to Penzio in the twelve months before the claim or one thousand Kenyan shillings (KES 1,000), except where liability cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nairobi, Kenya, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
